“What stands out here is the charm of staying in a Grade 1 listed building, coupled with its proximity to the Trough of Bowland. I particularly like that it's a place for a proper getaway, offering diversions like billiards rather than television. It seems ideal for families seeking both activities and a full English breakfast before exploring the nearby golf course or local attractions.”

A Few Issues at This Place
missing tvoutdated bathroom
There was no TV in the room. The restaurant closed quite early. The bathroom had a slightly outdated feel with cobwebs. I found that disappointing. A little attention to these things would improve the experience.
The staff were SUPER friendly and accommodating I REALLY appreciated them providing an earlier breakfast. The building IS historic and beautiful. The location is great too, overlooking the golf course.
There WAS no tv in my room WHICH was a bit of a bummer.
Location
9/10
The setting on the golf course offered AMAZING views and easy access to the greens. It was perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's also only a short drive to nearby attractions THAT makes it convenient.
Facilities
8/10
The building showcases Tudor architecture IT is set within a lovely green park. The restaurant offers evening meals AND a plentiful full English breakfast.
The golf course setting was fine. The historic building presented many interesting features. Breakfast was good (especially the sausages).
My room lacked a desk chair, made working difficult. I found no TV in my room. The toilet had a macerator that activated at odd times.
